I am the king of over committing myself and completely forgot that I had a song coming out today. Cue me taking a break from uni assignment hell to frantically produce a bunch of "content" to promote my music.

Dance All Night is actually one of the first "Savoyager" songs ever made. But at the time I thought I wanted to "my sound" to be different because a lot of music industry and marketing people tell me that's really important to be consistent and have a clear artist "brand". They are probably right. But as time has gone on I realised that's a stupid reason not to release music that I made and that I like.

To me it always sounded like the soundtrack to The O.C. In fact now that I've said that, I realise that "Seth Cohen music" was kind of the organising principle behind this whole EP.

This To The Rhythm EP is a collection of tracks from the last couple of years. I didn't make these songs to go together, I just decided that they belonged together at some point. They were all such different tracks, but the justification I gave myself was that they all kinda sounded like they could have been released in 2007 and evoked some kind of nostalgia.

So listen to Dance All Night. It's out in all the places you'd expect.

What this single would look like in a world where I had the budget to make CDs

And a huge shout out to the Prelinger Archives for helping a guy on deadline and a budget out. I think the Instagram stuff turned out pretty good, actually.
